Occupy Wall Street - Current.com

Just in case you wondered if the President and the Democrats are on the side of the “Occupy Wall Street Protests”, Obama’s senior advisor David Plouffe cleared that up on “Good Morning America”.

According to a post at Politico, Plouffe, when asked about the protests, said, “If you’re concerned about Wall Street and our financial system, the president is standing on the side of consumers and the middle class.”

In other words, the President supports the OWS protesters who claim to be the 99% of Americans that are not wealthy. That is probably going to come as quite a surprise to the majority of Americans who don’t believe in getting something for nothing or supporting people who are capable of working but don’t want to.

If Democrats and the President really wanted to support the middle class they would quit blaming Republicans who simply want to enact policy that has worked in the past. They would quit the class warfare rhetoric and stop penalizing job creators and achievers. The uncertainty caused by this Administration’s business-unfriendly policy is why the economy is sputtering.

The “Occupy Wall Street” protests are nothing more than misplaced anger directed at capitalism as opposed to the real source of the problem, socialistic policy-makers in the White House and the Democratic Party who are killing the economy. It figures they would support this ridiculous movement that clearly does not represent 99% of the American people.
